Spring Pea Hummus with Garlic Pita From one of our favorites, The Chopping Block For the hummus: 2 cloves garlic 1 1/2 cups fresh peas, shucked and steamed or frozen tiny peas, thawed 3 - 4 tablespoons lemon juice 3 tablespoons tahini paste 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Pinch cayenne pepper Salt to taste Drop the cloves of garlic in the food processor while running and process until minced. Add the remaining ingredients and puree until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with the garlic pita. For the pita: 6 pita rounds 3-4 tablespoons garlic grapeseed oil Salt to taste Preheat the oven to 375º. Cut the pita rounds into triangles and toss with the oil and salt. Place on a parchment lined sheet tray and bake until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
